#5 Auto Union 1937

This model comes mounted on an inscribed smoked plexiglass base

Similar to the Avus streamliner, Bernt Rosemeyer set 12 class and 3 World records with this car. It was later modified for Rosemeyer to attack Mercedes records with new streamlining that possibly caused the accident in which he lost his life (see Omicron 1).
