Named Djelmo from the names of egyptian prince Djellaledin, the financer, and of italian Edmondo Moglia, the designer, it was built in 1924 to attack the Land Speed Record. The project was delayed for several years until it ended in disaster in 1927 when driver Giulio Foresti miraculously survived a terrifying accident on Pendine Sands in Wales.
The model pictures the car at the time when it was first shown to the press in 1924. Read the story of Djelmo for more details.
The pale blue model is Omicron #12, Pendine Sands 1927" version
